Right Back:
CO 36 (40, 44, 48) sts, pick up and K 37 (41, 45, 49) sts along cast-on sts on right side of one of squares already knitted. Complete as for first 3 squares.

Join Fronts to Back (see diagram):
With single-pointed needle and RS facing, pick up and K36 (40, 44, 48) sts along edge (not the cast-on edge) of mitered square – (pick up one st at end of each garter ridge and 2 sts between ridges. K one row.
Using circular needle, pick up and K sts on piece to be joined in same manner. K one row. Place right sides together and BO together using the second straight needle.
Repeat for other side so all 4 pieces are joined.

Yoke:
Using circular needle and with RS facing, pick up and knit 35 (39, 43, 47) sts across top of each mitered square, plus 2 sts in the joining garter ridges – 146 (162, 178, 194) sts.
K 3 rows, decreasing 1 st in center of the last row – 145 (161, 177, 193) sts.
P one row.
Eyelet row: K2, *yo, K2 tog, rep from * to last st, K1.
P one row.
K 3 rows, ending by working a WS row.

Divide for Back and Fronts:
K32 (35, 38, 41) and place on holder; BO 8 (10, 12, 14) for underarm; K65 (71, 77, 83) for back (counting the st remaining from the bind-off as first of these sts) and place on holder; BO 8 (10, 12, 14) for underarm; K32 (35, 38, 41) to end.

Left Front:
Row 1 (WS): K
Row 2: K2, ssk, K to last 4 sts, K2 tog, K2.
Row 3: K
Repeat last two rows 3 (3, 4, 4) times more – 24 (27, 28, 31) sts .
Continue in garter st, decreasing one st at neck edge only every 4th row until 18 (20, 23, 26) sts remain. K even until armhole measures 8.5 (9, 9.5, 10)” from underarm. Place remaining sts on double point needle, using it as a holder.

Back:
With wrong side facing and using circular needle, attach yarn at underarm.
Row 1: K
Row 2: K2, ssk, K to last 4 sts, K2 tog, K2.
Row 3: K
Repeat last 2 rows 3 (3, 4, 4) times more. Continue in garter st until piece measures same as front. Leave sts on circular needle, using it as a holder.

Right Front:
With WS facing, attach yarn at underarm.
Row 1: K
Row 2: K2, ssk, K to last 4 sts, K2 tog, K2.
Row 3: K
Repeat last 2 rows 3(3, 4, 4) times more – 24 (27, 28, 31) sts.

Continue in garter st, decreasing one st at neck edge only every 4th row until 18 (20, 3, 26) sts remain. K even until armhole measures same as left front. Place remaining sts on double-pointed needle, using it as a holder.
Join Shoulder Seams:
Placing RS together, BO shoulders sts using 3-Needle Bind-Off. Place sts at center of neck on double-pointed needle.

Front Borders:
With RS facing and beginning at bottom right-hand edge, use circular needle to pick up and K one st in each cast-on st along edge of mitered square; pick up and K one st in each garter ridge to shoulder, K across sts at back; pick up and K along left front edge as for right front edge.
